Hey dual sporters!

I have just found this site and am somewhat new to the Houston area. I am looking for some dual sport riding partners who have riden in the Houston north Houston area or just have a desire to explore the DS opportunities, my riding level would be considered A/Pro and 41 y.o.. I am from Washington State and have spent many DS rides in WA, OR, NV and CA going where few have gone on BLM, State and Fed. land and would like to do the same here with out running into a big swamp every 5 miles. My bike of choice is Husaberg and I currently own 2 of them Enduro 650 and Motocross 550.

Last fall I had the good fortune of meeting a great guy who was involved in the TRH club specifically, the family enduros, subsequently I have done a few rides in the HNF (the dawg gone thing is closed @ least 1/2 the time) and met a couple of other GOOD PEOPLE. However in route to the HNF I located 3 palms MX park (it is open a lot more than the HNF) as a result of that discovery I purchased an MX bike. Currently I am trying to decide either to convert my FE 650 jsut enough to carry a Texas LP or purchase a KTM 640 Adventure.

My other question (finally) to all of you DS riders out there, how much two track and connecting single track trail is there in the Houston or North Houston area (100, 200, 500, 1000 miles)?
