Hello folks, my son and I will be coming to Legacy Farms for our first TORN race. Aside from the gate and entry fees do we need to pay for any membership fees? Thanks!

There is no membership fee for TORN.
Just pay gate fee, race fee and stick you transponder sticker on your visor (provided with race entry if you do not have).

Welcome! You picked a good one to come to I have always enjoyed Legacy Farms. You should bring a little extra money for just in case, there are parts vendors out there and for numbers and backgrounds if you don't already have the proper ones. TORN runs colored background to signify ability level and numbers for certain classes.I think they are like $5 or $7 I don't remember. What classes are you planning to race?
If you feel lost just ask anyone what you need to be doing. Everyone is good about helping out fellow racers.
Make some friends, it's not hard out there. Might watch out for Roy, Gaven, Brianna, maybe LJ if she's cranky but most everyone is nice.
Come by and say hi.......ask for the turtles or look for cycle suspension. we all camp together.

Hello again, and thanks for the pointers! I will ride Sportsman Int. Saturday and 38+ Int. Sunday. Still not certain for my boy....he is 11 and rides a Klx 140. I guess Mini Am. on Saturday....but should he ride Open Am. on Sunday? I will definitely need backgrounds and numbers, so I am glad those will be available.

When I think back I did actually ride the Morgan GP back in 2008...if i have even half as much fun as i did that day I will be smiling for weeks after.

I would put him in the min am or novice depending on his skill level

I guess I'm confused because I do not see any Mini classes on the Sunday schedule...I will get it all figured out at signup....thanks!

Minis race on Saturday

As Liss mentioned - minis race Saturday, but the Novice class races on Sunday. So your son could race the minis on Saturday and Novice class on Sunday.

However, one thing to consider is that you would be racing at the same time as your son on Sunday as both the +38 Int and Novice class go off in Race #6 (last race of the day).
