This 8mm film was found behind the back seat of a 1967 Ford Mustang bought from a lady in Houston, Texas in 2015.

The new owner shipped the Mustang from Houston to Belgium and began restoring the car.

It probably had laid there for over 40 years.

While taking out the back seat, he found a small metal box.

Inside was an 8mm home movie of the 1969 Caney Creek Enduro, north of Houston, TX.

Sponsored by Trail Riders of Houston (TRH) and Texas State Championship Enduro Circuit (TSCEC).

After 46 years, this film is finally being seen on YouTube. Hope you enjoy it!

Personal note: I'm not sure about the date of this event... if it was 1969.
I see quite a few bikes that look like 1970 or even 1971 - especially Yamaha, Hodaka, Penton, CZ, etc... but I'm no expert.

I got my first bike and my motorcycle license at age 15 in May, 1970. At minute 3:30 there's an orange and white Kawasaki 90 Trailmaster (dual sport) just like the one I had. That summer of 1970, I rode that bike to my Driver's Ed class at Bellaire High, to get my auto learner's permit... which did NOT make the instructor happy at all.

But the 1971 model 250 Bushmaster (dual sport) that I rode the next year - bought it from Mac Hudson of the KILT morning radio show, Hudson and Harrigan - looked alot like that too? Wow... I just realized ... if I was 14 back then, and 60 today - imagine how old everyone in this film must be if they're still alive today...

That's awesome, back when Levi's made riding gear and looping it out was a technique! Gives me a glimpse of my uncle "back in the day"
