Very cool! I love the telemetry.

Correct me if I'm wrong but that loop doesn't look much harder than the North or South Loop at Hidden Falls. I've been hesitating to go City Park because most of the people that I ride with have never been due to the rumors that it's very difficult and over the top technical. But they eat up the trails at Hidden Falls so I'm wondering if the bark is worse than the bite when it comes to City Park. I'm not half the rider that my friends are but I can complete both motorcycle loops at HF on a good day. Who has ridden both and can put them in perspective for me?

Thanks
Victor

I have ridden both and feel that City park is like a condensed version and a little tighter. You should go give it a try. It's close and if after one loop you don't care for it---short drive home. smile

And it only costs $16 (per YEAR) to ride City Park.

It was $8.00 last year, but the sticker program was raided by the State legislature for other stuff. So they decided to charge double this year. That way when the legislature robs the fund again there will be more in it. I'm sure it's kind of disappointing to rob something and then feel like it was barely worth the effort. Whatever.

It's a great place to ride. Like Paul said, it's maybe a bit harder than Hidden Falls, but the hard parts are all adjacent to one another. Plus, the video doesn't do some of the ledges justice - up or down. There are a few spots at City Park that have no equal at Hidden Falls. Still, it is totally ridable and if you have good friends along you can help each other over the big stuff. There is no better place to learn the skills you can learn there.

Wear all your protection. Elbows, knees, the works.

Just had my first taste of City Park today. Without a guide to show us the correct route, we had a hard time finding the whole loop and staying on it but we were able to ride everything that we encountered. There are plenty of bypasses around the hard stuff if you take the time to look for them. The few places that there isn't, just think about your line before you shoot it. Personally I think that some of the larger stuff at Hidden Falls is harder than anything I ran into today. Long story short......I'm 40 years old, 5'10" and just shy of 300lbs. Don't let the myth and legend of City Park keep you from trying it out.
