well put PKay............. Besides, some of us aren't riding TCCRA because of the schedule conflict. Even if they did not conflict, we would of chosen TORN for our own personal reasons. New racers won't understand all the circumstances that have lead up to this conflict. We did run both series every year and it burned us out. Now, it is a relief to just take it easy and be able to do other things besides TORN and TCCRA. There are lots of other things out there! For us, we are doing some enduros, GNCC, and maybe even camping.....gasp.......without motorcycles.... Okay, that probably won't happen.

Well said PK, you go girl!!
AS stated Pick a series to ride for points if that is your game. Then ride the non conflicting dates of the other series for some more seat time.
My gosh, what did you people gripe about before TORN was even here?? This sounds like my kids, you know "He's touching me!!" Always something to gripe about. Drop it and go on with life.

After the third race of this season, we do not race once a month...5 of the races are 3 weeks apart, and 2 of them are 2 weeks apart. Doing this gives us the summer off, which will be a wonderfull change. Curtis worked around TCCRA the last couple of years, and the actual percentage of folks that actually raced both series was very small. So when making a buisness decision to make our series better, I'm sure he went with what is best for the majority. It has nothing to do with bragging rights, the changes to the schedule were to make the TORN series better. And it has!

Not saying that this is the case, and DDF can't speak for Curtis, but........... If DDF had a series that was a competitor of TCCRA, and he knew (or at least really felt like) his series was superior to TCCRA's, then DDF would do the same thing, intentionally. DDF would run straight at 'em. At some point, ya just gotta concede that "business is business."

Why can't TCCRA work around TORN? The officers have the freedom to change the schedule as they see fit..........was voted in at the last meeting. In the last 4 or 5 years TORO would get there schedule up before TCCRA. Then TCCRA would put there's up and something would conflict. Being nice TORO would either change the date or just drop that race all together. I am not and have never been a TORO spokesperson. This is my observation all by my widdle self TORCS has always conflicted with everyone.........why hasn't someone cried about that? It's almost like a hate thing that is going on. It feels kinda like high school and torn is the football rival. All of you people that feel like you need to bow your chest out at the big ole meanies at TORN go gripe on the TCCRA forums a while...............Oh yeah you can't do that anymore. You will get in trouble and be tagged with unsportsman like conduct.

Not the PR Officer anymore...... but the TCCRA Dates were set, Curtis made a business decision to race on a 3 week schedule that caused some date conflicts. TORN is his business and and he decides how he wants to run it.
TCCRA's every 2 week format was put in place, as I understand to help divorced parents who have kids that want to race and they have those childern every other weekend. Setting the schedule in advance for the next year allowed for people to make plans in advance.
Nothing against TORN or Curtis, as I consider him a friend, it would just be nice if there was a way to work out these conflicts because a lot of people would like to ride both series, instead of having to decide one or the other.
Both series are unique in what they have to offer.
P-Cay...... you should know all this as you were an TCCRA Official a lot longer than me.

Looks like to me more people who raced TORN race complaining about the conflict than people who raced TCCRA race

Honestly I do not know how they came up with the every other weekend schedule. That was before my time. I'm old...not that old... I heard some one mention once that it was for parents that get their kids only every other weekend. I do not know. I would assume it was because they tried to get 14 (16 at 1 time) races scheduled into 7 months. That has not always been true either. There was a time TCCRA worked around NASCAR, Easter, Supercross and other dates.
