How is everyone?
Have not been there in almost two years. I look at the forum to see what is up with everyone there but never see anything going on. You guys should use the forum to tell everyone what is going on with the track. I think you could draw a lot more intrest if you get it out on the forum. I know that your track is a lot of fun long wide and fast. I am going to try and get some riders to come up there from Los Fresnos MX Park to check out the action up there. It is a 8 hour drive but It is worth it . I understand that there have been a lot of changes in the last two years how about posting some pictures on the forum to get some south texas boys salivating and ready to come up and check it out. Mabe we can talk some of you guys into coming down here also, our track is great and 45 min from South
Padre Island may I suggest around spring break "HUBBA HUBBA" oops I mean the weather is great then.
I will try to get some of them to come to the Sept race. If not possibly Oct. please post some current pictures of the MX track and Ill bet they will pack thier chit and come to race.
Many people do not know about your track even as long as it has been around and as great as it is,this forum can realy help if you have some activity and interact some with other tracks and clubs.

Thanks
Wesley Schmidt

We have a new website http://www.geocities.com/wacoeagles/ and most of the photos are on http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/WacoEaglesGroup/ which is our yahoo group forum. I had suggested using the TON instead but the powers to be want the ability to moderate the posts personaly. I have been the acting "webmaster" for the club for the past couple of months but track construction was still in progress when I went on vacation 2 weeks ago & I just got back. I hope to get out to the track this week & take some new pics, when I do I'll post them here for you.
Races are held on the 3rd Sunday each month and there has been talk of doing a series race with some other tracks.

Great
Hope to get back ther soon. I went to school with Johnny he knows I was messing with him. We ran pretty close races when I was there. My game has picked up pretty good to much faster bike KTM 520SX and a lot more seat time these days. I was able to come down the weekend that you had the last race but had to leave early Sunday morning to come back to the Valley. Was able to come out and see the changes that have been made to the track on that Friday. The SX? track seemed like the jumps were smaller than they were before and the new part in the woods was non existant when I was there before. I walked part of the woods it seemed like it would be fun. Do you run it all together in the race or split it up. It would seperate the men from the boys to run a good 10 lap set of motos around it all. Keep ripping it up.

Check out LosFresnosMotocrossPark.com
And if you ever come to the Valley bring your bike and come and ride or race if it is on the right weekend. 4th weekend of the month, look at schedule on site. Or go to our forum and post that you are coming down and we will hook you up somehow.

Okay, here's the scoop.
I, along with a few other members are on one of the 2 mx track committes. (I'm on the "A" or "SX" track committe which is the original track) A few months ago we got together and planned to split the track and add several new sections to the A track. It was to be a bigger jump, more obstical filled coarse yet at a slower speed. The problem has always been that you can never satisfy everyone but being that we are a chartered club with a committe and all, we have to try. The back section of the track was to become the "B" track, more old style mx. It will be faster but more turns and less high-flyin' stuff. We hired a track builder that does tracks all over the southwest and is a very good track designer. The guy goes out and spends 80k on a new dozer and starts to work, doing the "B" track 1st. He gets most of the track complete, except for the new sections that you haven't seen, and we are rapidly approaching our budget limit of 15k. Over to the "A" track he goes. Not long after he starts that project, the dozer goes down and the rains came. A few weeks later the dozer is fixed and the rains let up. He pushes some more dirt around and the dozer goes down again. To make a long story short, the dozer has been in one spot with the final drive out of it for more than a month and the neither track is finished and none of the additions are made. This week the club rented a couple of tractors and at least tied the A & B track together making it possible to run the entire tracks as one. The tie in was routed around the dozer that is still sitting in the same place. (By the way, the damn dozer is under warranty)

Plans are to run some classes on one track and some on the other but optimally run some classes using both tracks as one continious track.

Don't know if you are aware but Baker broke his leg at the PC race in Whitney a few weeks ago. He's getting around as well as any mxer with a broken leg, can't keep a good man down! Even one as honery as Baker

My company has an office in Corpus and I sometimes have to go there and to the Valley. Always looking for a place to ride so next time I'm that way I'll try to look you up.
