On the double towing issue, I've done the research and talked to law enforcment directly and you can double tow in TX. I've done it with a 2 bumper pull trailers and the problem I had was the back trailer trying to "tail wag" over speeds of 60mph. It was fine there though but if I do it I'm about 5 feet over legal length.
