Yeah, I talked to that guy. Unfortunately the fiberglas tank let go and he has a metal one on order, which then needs to be painted. I also learned the Combat engine gives ~3 extra HP at the expense of longevity so really didn't want to go there.

There's a really cool 850 for sale in Redondo Beach, CA that is the last year. So it has left hand shift and e-start. Of course the 850's had their own problems since the engines were way past their 500cc design point. They are especially prone to crack below the exhaust valves, not to mention eat the tranny.

Here's a pic of it in my garage. Just need to finish installing the new rear isolastics he provided and put her back together. I'm really happy it was not a disc brake bike since I wanted the vintage look, and this has the dual leading shoe front brake (the Norton-Lockheed disc caliper was pretty but didn't work that well anyway).

I have never seen that many Vincents at one time, and all going for a ride together....and then that 1920 Triumph that Kevin started up for me....too cool.
