I'm not going to say im really fast, cuz im not, but i do appreciate the guys that move when they hear another bike coming up behind them. GREAT RACE by the way!! But there are a few guys that will not move whatsoever. and on a tight corse like this, it was hard to pass in some places. I got stuck behind a slower guy (in the woods) for a lap and a half and could not get around him. I ride a 450 and so did he, so even in the open stuff, theres no way to pass cuz they are wide open, just like you are. But i agree with the original poster of this thread, cussing at someone is just poor sportsmanship. Sorry to hear bout your mishaps.

I don't pass very many people being a 450 A back marker (thanks Ken), but if you are an Open B rider and a RED number plate is all over you in the woods, please use your head and don't drag race them in the open sections. It doesn't get any clearer than that red plate that I'm not in your class. I would say that 99% of the A/B riders I come up on move over pretty quick. I know that I do my best to move over as quick as possible.

Anyway, great race and I had a blast even though I didn't have any brakes in the woods due to poor maintence over the summer break. A little scary at times.

My 2-cents.....I think the TORCS numbering system should reflect your class I think this would sure help resolve a lot of this who is racing who, It is very hard to see these dots when your looking over your shoulder.

CLiccioni - I am going to have agree with you. The dot system is fairly hard to see in a race environment. Maybe its because I am not used to it.
I agree though...great race!!

Have you ever noticed that the person complaining is the person that wont get out of the way. It takes $400.00 to $500.00 dollars to go to one of these races and for one person to hold someone up is wrong. I HAVE NEVER QUOTE NEVER held someone up at a race because you can get over anywhere.Do you think he would have cursed you if you just moved over?

"It takes $400.00 to $500.00 dollars to go to one of these races"

PER PERSON???? thats nuts, i went racin this weekend on a hundred bucks. gas included. if it cost you 500 to race, then im putting on a budget seminar at the next race you should attend. for a mere 80 dollars i'll tell you how to slim up your race program! haha!!

Really? $100 Bucks?
please break down your complete spending from bike prep/ownership costs, food, gas (bike, truck) travel expenses, entries, hotel/sleep cost for the weekend and don't forget all the opportunity costs (how much money you could have made working on Saturday etc)and the depreciation of your equipment after beating it up during the race.

maybe you need to take economics 101 and then look at your total cost of racing before you start giving race budget seminars...because it wasn't a $100 smile

but how can we put a price to all the fun we are having!!

ohhhhhkaaaay i knew someone would call my bluff!! laugh but for the sake of fun (keep in mind your right, you cant put a price on fun, but lets try anyway)lets see how much i spent. im the ultimate budget racer. my s10 gets 25 miles/gallon, 300 miles round trip. full tank of gas $33 (my bike runs 87, same as my truck). entry fee to race $30. another $20 for me and the lady to get in the gate. spent around $10 on sandwich meat and bread for dinner/lunch. we drink water and gatorade only on race weekends, which severly cuts down costs. by the way, i worked on saturday till 5pm, drove up saturday nite, and raced sunday. slept @ my brothers house saturday nite, but when not in the austin area myself and my girlfriend sleep in the bed of my truck (FREE). race prep expenses are an oil change($12 benefits of working saturday) and clean my air filter. i didnt crash so i didnt break any parts, and look me up at the next round and see my flipped michelin for the next race. so i retract my last statement, maybe it wasnt quite a hundred bucks, but it dang sure wasnt 400-500!!!! thats roadrace prices. saying it costs one rider 4-500 dollars per round is sure to scare away new riders!! im sure im not the only budget conscious rider who finds a 500 dollar bill for one weekend of racing kinda outrageous. i know there are alot of people who spend gobs of money to get to the races every weekend to ensure their family has a good time, and i think thats awesome that they can do that, without them i wouldnt be able to fall asleep to the sweet hum of generators every race wink!. on the other hand i bet there are people such as myself who leave each round hoping they can afford to make the next one. ohh and by the way, economics 101 would take the rest of my yearly racing budget to enroll in, so no thanks. SCHOOL AINT FREE!!!

p.s. how budget has anything to do with people not getting out of the way, ill never know...i dont care if it cost you ten grand to get to the track, you deserve your peice of trail, the fast guys will find a line around you, thats why theyre the fast guys. i know they pass me every race! maybe i should put on a "how to get passed" clinic.....hmmmm....
