Leave it the way it is. If you let people choose their numbers then they are going to want to change something else. Before you know it, it will snowball out of control and the members will be setting the rules and complete chaos will ensue. It will never work. Impossible I tell you!

Hal, with all due respect, after all the talking you did on these forums this season about the amateur class being for beginners and all, I KNOW you do not really plan to stay where you are if you are not bumped???

Can we keep the same number we have for next season?
In the past the rule has been top ten can run the number they earned (assuming they are in the same class) everyone else gets a number assigned in order down the list.
We are discussing changing that rule but that will not officially be addressed until after the banquet when we have our rules meeting.
