If anyone is interested, there is a large contingent of riders gathering on Jan 10th at the Westside Trailhead of the Sam Houston National Forest to help clean some trails. The east side received lots of attention this last year, now it is time to show some love for the west side.

Volunteer user groups will become increasingly important to keep the trails open for our enjoyment. Remember that we are the last line of defense for that to happen, so get involved.

ODODB and TRH members will be leading the charge, so please spread the word. This is the best time to do the hard work and temps should be very nice.

Bring your own food, water, and trail clearing tools. Remember that you need to be a certified sawyer and possess all of the safety attitudes and equipment to chainsaw trees in the SHNF. Safety first!!!

We will be grilling up hot dogs for lunch.
