I am out for the rest of the year do to a family medical issue and an impending knee replacement myself. A couple years back the races were moved and most of the int/expert classes moved to Saturday and the majority of the amateur classes moved to Sunday. Time (PLEASE) to ROTATE them back so I can be happy again. smile If I ever get to race again...

I agree with the posts about the Pros getting a smooth track . If they are the best of the best wouldn't it be more of a challenge and make more sense to have them last on either day ?

I currently race in the first big bike race of the weekend and the last race of the weekend, so I get to see the track at its polar opposites. I think that the pros racing first is a good thing, as they tend to make a lot of new lines and create more passing opportunities, making the track better for everyone. I think this also helps to make the track not as rough by the end of the weekend due to there being more lines created.

This is a topic that could go on for weeks with no right answer. Pros here pros there, when the real topic is your riding style.. I'm an am rider so not bashing am riders but why not make alllll am riders race Sunday this is where most of the track damage occurs ( locking brakes downhill , and corners, chopping the throttle out of corners , and up hill etc.) it's the riding technic that hurts the track. I've learned over last four seasons to ride more than that center 6 inches of trail and has made all the difference in the world. And I've always had Sunday races with the pros moved all around, but until I changed my bad riding habits it was horrible, now it's not much different than running on Saturday. It's technic not time, that's all I got..

Well, since you asked, if the Ladies Over 30 Ams and the 125 Ams (if #279 doesn't get bumped) races in could both be on the Saturday, it would make our travels alot easier.

...and just FYI, AMA Supercross is the weekend of the first race frown

I think one of the reasons the pros race on Saturday, is that we all get a chance to see them race. Last race on Sunday, most are gone!
