According to the City's sign it should have been reopened over a year ago!

I guess we'll see what the Parks Dept. has to to say about it.

Subject: Motorcycle Trail Section Reopening

Comments:

According to the City's posted sign this trail section was to have been reopened over a year ago. I recall this being a very cool side loop to the trail and I would like to see about getting it reopened. I will be happy to put in any and all work needed to make that happen.

From what I remember (it was closed back in the mid 90's IIRC), it was just a short hop, and the reroute was about the same length and difficulty level. Probably not worth the headache.

Yeah, I checked it out last weekend and found that it's just a very short cut through to the abandon asphalt road at the northeast corner of the park. The cut through is so minimal that it's pretty obvious that the sign was put there to serve as a "shrunken head" to ward off trail cutting activities in general.
