Who is ready for it? We got a good shower this morning by the track and sprinkles on and off all day and, they are calling for snow tomorrow nite and tuesday. I guess I should get the 04 ready to ride in the mud so i don't tare up my 08!

I'm not looking forward to a mud race. I will race and it try my best to have fun, but not really looking forward to it. The schedule we have right now doesn't leave much room for a make up race though.

Benny you know you cant just leave it like that. What did you do that you have to do community service?

Bridgeport has good dirt/sand. Don't start worring about the mud yet....
Beside mud is fun to race in. Some of the best race stories come from a mud race

Mud is fun when you are in the first race on Saturday. Not when you are in the last race of the day on Sunday. LOL

Hope its not anything like Bowie was and under water! That was bad. With rain today snow with accumulations Tuesday and cloudy all week with no drying and chances of rain this coming weekend too... I think I'll just plan on not going. The ground can not handle any more and its like a sponge everywhere now!

Liss I was just trying to get somthing going on the board and I figured you would bite if I casted the right bait out there. LOL

Suday has a 60% chance of rain. So as long as it doesn't rain until Sunday night we should be OK. I'm just going to wait this one out and see what it looks like come Thursday.

Just so you know my oldest daughter will be just a few lines a head of you. We set it up that way so she can block for her mother who will be lined up with you.

Well maybe it was beacues there were 900 riders in the mini's and less then 20 in the ladies AM, but the other way sounds more fun.

I guess that's why I don't want a mud race. Daddy's little girl is on the big track now. (Yes, I know she is 5'3" but she is only 12 and still my baby)I'm sure she will be running faster lap times then me before the season is over. I just need for her to get the first one over with. LOL

On a side not. I don't know how mini parents with really fast kids. You know the ones jumping everything do it.

Well....Kate started on the big track in the ladies amateur at 9 years old! In toro to boot....Her first season was 8 races of mud, sleet, or all the above. She skipped the pee wee's cause my brother in law who got us all in to this said she would outgrow a 65 too quick. I didn't have a bike back then nor did I even have a clue on what a track was like.....good thing I didn't! It made her one heck of a rider lol she had to for survival sake.
I've made Buddy wait. He's been wanting to move up for a couple of years now. He's 11 and I am not sure I am ready but at least this time I will be out there starting behind him so if anything goes wrong I will get to him soon.
She will be fine. There's lots of us momma's out there and it will give Salina that extra boost to race.

It's my bb's first season on the big track too. He's 12 years old. He's good competition on the pee-wee track in the mud, but the "big" track....well... is a whole new ballgame.....Mom's just worry...can't help it. Thank goodness we have the security of sweepers and great medics just in case they are ever needed.

Bring on the mud, snow, rain, heat....let's race. wink

Is this race on the same property as the Bridgeport ORV park is on? The directions from the flyer are the same as the Bridgeport ORV site has. Reason I am asking, is we went out and rode a few hours on Sat there and the folks there were unaware of any race. They did say there is a big Jeep Jamboree this weekend. Didn't see any signs of track work either. Is a pretty sweet place though.

Ow this thread is about actually riding in Mud. I thought it was about Mud slinging but I guess that's just because Liss Hijacked the thread.

i missed more than 4 days of school cause i was sick....and they give me 8 hours of community service...which sucks.

Dang Benny, that sounds kinda messed up. You would think that you wouldn't get punished if you are sick. Heck my youngest daughter will go back to school tomorrow after missing all of last week. I hope she doesn't get locked up.

yeah I had to meet with the school board, principal, and a cop to expain why Buddy missed so much school 2 years ago.....he was in the hospital with meningitus. Geeeze
Ben back when I was in school they would just give you a whippin' and send you back to class....ahhhhh the good ole days. Of course back then kids followed the rules cause they didn't want to get their butt beat. Good thing they have comunity service now a days ha ha ha
Don't sweat it Ben. You can thank your class mates that skip school for the heck of it for you getting in trouble for being sick.

I just can't seem to understand why you would even have to go see the judge for missing school. If my child is home sick then that's all they need to know. If they make my child go see the judge I will probably doing more then community service before it's all said and done.LOL

You know When I see stuff like this I am really glad my wife home schools. My boy is almost 16 and still likes to spend time with me and help me around the house. On the other hand, I see what she puts them through. Public school would be easier.

Agreed, it is hard. Mainly because my wife uses standardize testing every other year to make sure they are on track.

Liss you never cease to amaze me, by the way did you find your turtle friend. Remember the last time he was napped he had the time of his life with Pictures to prove it.

No snow, so I am assuming no rain as well? How is the dirt? I raced Bridgeport last year and I recall it was mostly sand. if it doesn't rain we should be in good shape.

I talked to Ryan who is the parks and rec director for the city and he said that it is still very muddy out there. So if it rains again, it definatly doesnt look good. The camping area will be where it was last year at the front on the rock, but back in the trees where the track is, was still very wet. We didnt get any precipitation yesterday, so cross your fingers.
