Hello TXKX500

Since you have raced TCCRA you basically know their fomat. They have open practice all day Saturday and race Sunday.

TORN has Open Practice Saturday morning 7:30am - 11:30pm First race begins at 12 noon.
Last race ends Saturday night about 5ish Then the track is closed for repairs
Open practice Sunday morning 7:30am to 8:30am
Church 8:45am
First Race 9:15
last race normally ends 3ish
With TORN your also given the chance to race two classes. 1 Sat and 1 sun
You can also race two classes with TCCRA but it's within the same day.

Just all depends on what you perfer.
Nothing wrong with either format. It's just up to what format your happier with.

Flipper thanks for responding to my questions. Are your races more motocross oriented or cross country? Or just a combo of each? Hope you guys have a great season........and all your racers stay safe. And that one person a few threads back was correct............this thread has almost gotten funny. Oh, what class to you have for someone over 35, extremely slow, on to big a bike? hehehee

TCCRA and TORN are different........... just be glad that you have a choice.

Torn
4-5 mile tracks..... some with Motocross.. like WORCS
Races on Saturday and Sunday
Timed races

TCCRA
8.5 to 12 mile tracks..... More like GNCC
Milage races
All day practice on Saturday
Contingency from Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, and Husky
Year end awards from KTM.

Both series provide a lot of fun for Dirt Bike riders........... try both and see which you prefer.

Most of us have race both and wished that there was not a schedule conflict so that we could still do the same. TCCRA is a Non-Profit, so the promoter takes the risk on turn out and race entries.

TORN is For Profit so Curtis and his family put up the money and hope to make a profit.

It's great that we as Dirt Bike Riders get a chance to Pick and Choose.........

Who is talking about motocross? lol. And 'Texas Nationals'? That's what i learned in highschool to be an Oxymoron, like a football bat. By nationals he means Gncc or WORCS or even OMA's.
And if anyone thinks Callisburg is one lined you might be crazy I helped Joe for about 6 hours building the first bit of the track and it was our goal to put in as many lines as possible.
During that six hours of solid work we cut about 1/2 a mile and Joe did this rest of the work by himself and didn't stop at 4 miles.
