"and that you did not feel that taking the checkered flag was the official end of the race. "

ahhaah Cecil may have had some loopiness from a crash.
I saw DAve go 2 laps on a concusion at South Bryson. Actually I have seen more than one guy race on one only to come around later with " whre am I and did I win ?? ahhahahaahhahah

It was my son's first race (ever) at Bridgeport and he had a blast. He will be racing the entire season and I thought the course was great! Some really challenging areas and some nice smooth areas to get moving.

Our goal for this first season is to finish the races. Race #1 he finished #15 in the field in the 125/200 Amateur class, so I think he did pretty good. On to the next race...

1st race???
Man just finishing is a really positive step, especially for a kid.
DDF first started racing dirt bikes at age 31. His first few races, he had a really hard time finishing, due to either riding a crappy bike, or just plain not being a very good rider....but he got better. That was in 2001. By the end of the that season, DDF had actually gotten a couple of trophies. Now, to him, tropies are just more clutter.
The point is this: Your kid is off to a great start. In comparison, its a much better start than DDF had, plus, he's alot younger. If he'll stay with it, and be determined, there's no limit to what he can do.
