I have an 01 yamaha beartracker. I went to back it out yeterday, put it in reverse and backed up. But I can't put it back in forward! I tried rocking it and it won't budge. Please help

Does it have linkage to the reverse shaft into the tranny or transfer case? If so I would lube and check all that as it is most likely the problem.

If you have no linkage and just use the gear shifter....... probably something inside the tranny.

I have an 01 YAMAHA BIG BEAR that does the same thing. I usually rock it and say a couple of choice words and eventually after much frustration it will shift. Let me know if you figure out what's wrong. Good Luck!
