At Frank C.'s memorial service, there were a couple of guys (Jim and Dewey?) with KTM's and they had aftermarket seats that felt more cushy than stock. I think they were Enduro Extreme, or something like that. I've tried searching for this on the web, but no luck. Does anyone know of this company and have a link to their website? I've been waiting for the gel seat from KTM, but it must be on the slow boat from Europe. I have a 2 day ride coming up, and the stock seat is hard as a rock.
Thanks,
Lori M.

Enduro Engineering is the correct name.

Thanks, guys.
I looked on their website and called them. They don't have anything available for my LC4 SMC. Oh well...

Lori...How about one of those bicycle seat gel pads or a real good pair of bicycle shorts? It's too bad Enduro Engineering doesn't make a seat for your bike, cause those seats are the best for sure.

Lori, Just start gaining weight and make sure it's all behind you....Just kidding, as you know I have "Tall/Soft" foam in all my bike seats, it makes riding so much less tiring.

I sympathize with you Lori. I run the tall/soft seats on my KTM's and they are awesome. I'm now looking for something taller for my 950, but think I'll have as much luck as you are with your SMC.

It seems like you could make your own custom seat if you wanted one bad enough. Just buy a blank piece of foam, whittle it down to the desired shape that fits the base and then wrap it in a custom made seat cover. I bet you could get everything you need from the folks that make aftermarket seats. I have seen this done in years past with great results.

LOL! Steve, I actually do have a "behind", and it's big enough to be dangerous. I knocked the mirror off my car and also knocked over a couple of bikes in the garage with it. I just have bones that poke through, and the arch of the seat is the main source of pain. My KZ has a flat seat, and I can ride all day on it without any problems. So, I keep looking for something like the KTM comfort seat that is extra-wide and flat, but it isn't available for my SMC. Yet. The gel seat I'm waiting for won't be as wide. If it doesn't come in SOON!, I'll be forced to send mine off to be redone. I just hate to do it, because this bike is so much fun I'll get withdrawls while the seat is gone.
I tried finding Renzaco seats, but struck out. Am I spelling it right?
Thanks,
Lori M.

My brother-in-law really likes his Guts Racing seat on his XR400. He has a tall soft one. Looks to me like they list LC4's on the site. Guts Racing

On the other hand, my DRZ is fairly uncomfortable and I was thinking of a beaded cover for the dual sport ride next week. $10 at Pep Boys. If that doesn't help, then I'm shopping.

edit: looks like they are just covers and seat foam at Guts Racing.
