Welcome to Austin! I will tell you honestly that the motorcycle trails at City Park are very difficult to ride due to many tall, 2 to 3 foot rock ledges in different areas on the loop. I would say that this place is for very skilled intermediate to expert level motorcycle riders. We have been having problems with riders bushwacking (cutting new routes) around the ledges and this absolutely cannot be allowed to happen (in an effort to keep this place open). No modifying of the trails is allowed and can result in the trails being closed. I would recommend you hook up with the local Austin dirtbike club, the Austin MotoSports Association, for great riding opportunites in this area. We are a club that has been around for 25+ years and we welcome new riders. Check out our website at www.amsaclub.org. Also, feel free to send me a private message with your phone number on it and I would be happy to give you a call with more details. Thanks!
