I raced MX during my early 20's and since my kids are interested in riding, I've returned to it as well. I've got twin 9 year olds and a 6 year old. We are in Fort Worth, and returning back to the dirt as well. I love to ride Muenster and Tracks to. My kids have a tough time with the sand at Muenster so I dont usually go there when they go along, which is most the time. We wanted to throw out an invite to you and your kiddos, Heck bring the wife to, (Mine is coming and riding herself) to come ride and hang out. We going back to a place my kids love to death and I really like as well. It is a little bit of a drive but worth it. It has 5 or so tracks of increasing difficulty including a kids only track and several kid friendly areas. Also has some cross country stuff. Not throwing a sales pitch for the place just trying to find some people with kids my age and dads/moms with some similar history. Its called www.boondoxxx.com It is out in the McKinney area. Trust me the Pictures on the web site dont do it justice by any means. Jumping, Yep if you want some on the bigger track. Not so much a jumper, the intermediate track, fast track, big oval, easy track or cross country trails will suit you. I love the best of both setup. We will be Camping, (its free to camp, 10. to ride) Sat night (9th) riding Sun., camping Sun. night, riding Monday half the day. Come find us if you come. We are in a White Dodge 4x4, with a Blue tent set up. I'm riding a YZ250f with Orange type radiator decals. Wife is on a TTR125L Kids on DRZ110 Xr70 and Xr50.

Hey Thumper, Jim here I just wanted to say hi and chime in on your post. I quit riding in '91 and sold all my sport bikes, dirt bikes and my Banshee (the one that did not get jacked) and got into Mountain bike downhill and stunt riding. Well, after nearly 15 years I am ready to get back into the sport with a CRF450 later this month. I am planning on hitting the mountains of Colorado and another spot I just discovered near Cass Arkansaw that has some excellent mountainous terrain only 5.5 hours from here (Crowley). Also gonna get a paddle tire and hit Kermit and Little Sahara. I have two five year olds that are gonna be riding a little quad until they get accustomed to the controls and then I'll graduate them to two wheels. Will be seeing you out at Boondoxx sometime.........

Hey guy - we are always out at the Boondoxxx....My son is racing in the series out there. Great to see other people going out there - they are super nice people that own the land.

Will be going out there tomorrow - Sunday 4/3/04. Haven't ridden in 3 months as some (want-to-be) mx racer hit me in my ankle and landed me in surgery for the two bones going down to my ankle. Therefore received 10 screws and a plate in the leg.

So - if you see a crip with a soft boot on - yell at me....I might even try to ride tomorrow - so I am really happy to see another Woman ride (your wife)....I love it!!! There seems more and more women riding these days or especially since I broke my leg...hahaha Take care...dee

Go out to their website www.boondoxxx.com and they have directions. Its really in the boonies.

Also - if your kids are interested in racing, they hold only pee-wee races out there. Next one is April 17th. All young ones get a trophy and others get 1-5th place trophies. Dee

We head out from Dallas on 75 to McKinney then turn right in McKinney and head towards Farmersville. The Map 0n boondoxxx is pretty good. Rich

Rain may be coming to the NE for the metroplex so we may head in a new direction. Any recomendations for camping? Kid friendly areas?

I'm thiking there is a faster way to go to BD for ya instead of going all the way to 380.
take 75 to 190, get on 190 going east. exit at 78, and go left. This will take you thru sachse, wylie, lavon and into farmersville. You will go thru lavon still on 78 and yo will cross the far end of lake lavon, once you go over the lake, there is a chevron station on the right hand side,m i tihnk it is willys or something like that on the big sign. Anyways, turn right at the gas station, go till the T intersection at the end of the street, make a left then right over the RR tracks. go down until you hit CR599 (I think that is right, but it has been a few months since i have been to BD). once on the CR directions should be the same.

OR, next time you are on your way home, when you get on 78 go thru lavon, wylie, sachse to 190, then take that to 75 and home. It may or may not be faster route, but i thought i'd let ya know about it. it's late, i am on tommoro, good night.

I was thiniking the same thing 75 to George Bush(I90) Then go up 78 until your in Farmersville. Once they finish all the contruction on 78 in Wylie it will definitly be alot faster
