I didn't think I would get anybody all worked up by asking if there was anybody that wanted to do a little pleasure riding. I wasn't wanting to race anybody or flex my ego. I just wanted a nice ride and maybe a little lunch. Sorry
I didn't mean what I said as a flame or attack at all, just trying to point out that trying to get such a diverse group together might be tough. I realize this is talking out of turn, since I've only been to two of TRH's d/s rides, but I'd like to see more organized d/s events held. I think it would attract more beginners and people who re-discover riding after giving it up in their youth. Who knows, I might even go to more of them if they weren't held at the same place every year.
I've never owned a KLR650, but I did have an '83 XL600 for a while. The most miles I've put in in a day on a single-cylinder bike is probably around 160, a combination of jeep trails, dirt roads, and highway around Ouray, Silverton, and Telluride Colorado. Now, that's a place for dual-sporting!
