Little thread swerve here but it's related. I just put on a new rear tire last week with a heavy duty tube but my front tube is still stock (new bike with 26 hrs). Do you guys think it's good insurance to put a heavy duty tube in that front tire before the race? I've been hitting some rocks pretty hard at the last few XC events with no issues. I have no idea how much more protection you get out of a heavy duty tube but maybe some of you do.

A flat tire and quickly ruin a nice day. especially an euduro or a cross country race. The heavy duty tubes can are a lot thicker then you think then a stock tube. I would take the time to change the tube before this weekend.

I rode some pretty rocky sections last weekend that had been marked. I believe a HD tube would be a good idea.
