Total time in results

So I have talked to a few people about this but am still unsure of how to figure this out. The riders total time, is that from the start of the race or the start of the riders class?

If I understand it correctly it would be as follows.

If a rider that started in the class in front of you finished at 1h15m and you finished at 1h16m30s you actually ran the same time in total.

Could someone shed some light on this? Thanks.

Thanks. I was thinking to myself, are you sure? Like computers could easily do the math for you and give you the correct time even with staggered start times in 1 race.

Each line has their own start time.

but remember the end time is based on the first row. so if you are the last row you might not get a full 70 minutes.

So it looks like TORCS registered me in the wrong class. They put me in 450c even though I told them and lime up for 250c (two lines behind 450c). How do I figure out what I really placed?

You don't have any idea how to figure this out?

HINT: You ran 4 laps in 1:18:06... so look at the 250C times...

As stated by TORCS above, each start row has its own time. I wasn't sure if my time was affected by a class that I did not line up on

Your overall time is your overall time and can be directly compared to everyone elses times.

If you raced 450B and had 4 laps in at 1:18:06, and someone in the 450A had 1:18:30, you beat him and can brag about it.

What Spermy was saying is that the 70min. race time begins when the first row takes off.
ie.
1nd row 70 min race
2nd row 69 min race
3rd row 68 min race
etc.

Comparing a C and a B race isn't the best comparison. In theory the C rider had a better time than the B rider but in reality they're two different races. If you're example compared an A and B rider or a C and D rider it would be more accurate.
