The Texas Offroad Network (TON) has created this privacy policy statement in order to demonstrate our commitment to our members and guests. The following discusses the information gathering practices for this website only. Privacy Policy on websites that have hyperlinks to or from the TON will vary and users are advised to be aware of the Privacy Policy guidelines on every website. IP addresses:
IP addresses are logged for statistical reasons by the webserver, and by the sites submission scripts. They are used to track down abuse of our sites services and are currently made available when a user submits a file. Our goal is not to track specific visitor personal info, but to prevent forum abuse and give us statistical analysis info of the server usage and website traffic.

Email:
The Texas Offroad Network does not sell or distribute e-mail addresses of members or member information to third parties for any purpose, such as direct mail or spamming. Primary e-mail addresses used for the purposes of registration are not available to the public through user profiles....only the optional secondary e-mail address is visible. For security reasons, the TON does not allow registration on the forums with "free e-mail" accounts. All registrations must use a Primary ISP account.

Cookies:
Cookies are a vital part of normal Forum personalization and are used to track forum settings, as well as to store session information for our Forums and Database systems, including username and password. These cookies can be rejected or disabled, however certain parts of the Forums and Database systems will not be accessable in this event. As the Texas Offroad Network develops, additional personalization features may be added that focus on member preferences. As those new tools are implemented, we will make every effort to insure our members privacy rights are respected.

Forums:
Access to the forums and database systems are generally unrestricted for all visitors. However, in order to post to the aforementioned systems, users must register a username, which includes providing a valid email address. For the general forum guidelines, rules and restrictions, read the FORUM INFO/FAQs section linked on the main homepage.

The Texas Offroad Network (TON) is a forum-based community open to the public on the internet, therefore, any information provided by the forum user, whether within the optional user profile or a general public posting, is entered at the user's own risk. The TON makes no claim to the validity or truth of any information provided by the users. The TON accepts no responsibility or liability for the content of the messages posted by the forum members.

Demographics:
Any information gathered through survey methods or other member and visitor feedback forms is used for demographic study and analysis by the Texas Offroad Network. The TON strongly opposes the gathering of personal information on our individual members for use outside the TON community. The TON does not sell or distribute information gathered to third parties for any purpose of direct mail or spamming. The TON will reserve the right to use info gathered to provide general demographic study tools to promote TON and for other organizations, clubs or offroad groups, select sponsors and supporters.

Advertising:
Advertising is currently not being used on the Texas Offroad Network central website. We do not allow sites to advertise their sponsors on pages supplied through TON services. We do not force mandatory TON sponsored advertising on sites that use our services or are hosted by the TON. However, some advertising is active on websites using TON services or linked from the TON site. Much of this advertising is provided by third parties and the TON does not endorse or assume any responsibility for the sponsors, ads or privacy practices of third parties. This site is currently looking for Sponsors who practice non-intrusive advertisements, and will post links to their Privacy Policies once Sponsors become active.
