Lonestar Promotions will be hosting "Monster Trucks Unleashed!", July 17 & 18, 2009 at the Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track. Along with 9 monster trucks and pro arena trucks, they are also hosting a tough truck contest and ATV racing, and are trying to let everyone know that they can enter!
Racers must be age 18 or over (insurance requirement), and observe some other safety rules (ex: helmet, battery tied down in tough truck, etc.) but it's not hard at all to meet their rules!
For more information, contact them at 940-433-8159. If you just want to get tickets and watch, ticketmaster can hook you up, or tickets will also be on sale that day at the gate.
See ya there!!

The Austin MotoSports Association is having a family fun ride day on June 28th at the Goertz Ranch, near Bastrop, TX. Everyone is invited!
We have a fun, flowing 7-mile loop laid out with Easy/Hard/Expert splits marked so all skill levels can have a fun ride. AND, we routed the trail under as many shade trees as possible so most of the loop is in the shade. There is also plenty of parking in a huge, shady pecan grove.
This is a once or twice per year chance to ride at a great location and it's the only place with this much shade - perfect for the summer. We will open the gates at 7:00 AM for riding until 3:00 PM.
AMSA members ride for $10.00, non-members for $20.00.
