Just a note to let you know that Bud Hutchison has gotten the subscriptions script working and we are done testing it. Everything is working great. You can click on *Edit Profile* and see all the forums listed with a radio button next to each. Just click the ones you want to subscribe to. You'll then get a daily email at 2am with all the previous days posts composited onto a single email...just like a standard mailing list.....for each forum you subscribe to.

Be warned though, you'll get a seperate email for each forum you subscribe to, so only check off the ones you really want. They will be sent to your email address you supplied to us for Admin purposes...not the one you show for public purposes. You should have them sent to your main Service Provider mailbox if you want to properly receive them via Outlook Express or Eudora software. As busy as some boards are, it may be crazy to subscribe, but you may chose to subscribe to any board you have access to.

We have installed E-mail Filters that will not allow anyone with a Yahoo or Hotmail or any of about a dozen other of the "free email" services type accounts to register as a member at TON forums. This will help eliminate the chances that any one will create an alias persona and log on with the intent to harass or create problems for others. As new free email accounts that are not listed in our filtering squeek through our security, we will update our system files to prevent others from doing so.

Please advise any of your buddies who plan to register here, to use their main Internet Service Provider (ISP) E-mail account for the initial registration....then edit their profile upon entering. We allow you to show a different email address to other users than you submit to the Admins....for your security and to help our members avoid spamming robots and other moronic webtravelers. Give Admin your good email address...give your buddies the one for Yahoo.com or DirtRider.net or PrettyKitty.com or whatever suits your fancy.

This should also make our forums safer for kids and for all our members....and safer from anti-offroaders who want to disrupt our discussions by posting with an alias or anonymous persona. We will be better able to trace offenders and general PITA people with a higher degree of accuracy from now on. We do not support advertisers on the web and we oppose the sale of email addresses or any other personal info by those sites that support that form of webscum. In other words, your email addy and other info is safe with us.
