I lifted the following off of the Italian Husqvarna website www.husqvarna.it regarding what they call the worlds toughest enduro which is held every year in Sweden.

Without question, Novemberkasan is the toughest enduro race in the world and the
79th running of the annual Swedish race was no exception. Husqvarna’s Anders
Eriksson showed us why he was worthy of 5 World Titles, winning the race from a field
of experienced riders. More than 1200 riders entered the classic race, held in the
Swedish woods. The first phase of the race was the day round which in began at 8am
and involved a 58km loop with one special test. The riders that made it through the
first phase then race the night round beginningat 5pm, requiring riders to complete
120km (2 loops) of offroad trail and 10 special tests. Only 29 senior/elite riders and
4 junior riders finished the race in blizzard conditions which took the best riders about
17hours to complete!!

Eriksson dominated this difficult event from the start on the new electric start
Husqvarna TE400, in front of the closest rider, Georgsson by 10 minutes and Lind by
16 minutes. A superhuman effort by a true champion! The new Husqvarna TE400 was
a debutante in the revolutionary four stroke class and has proved it’s dominance in
it’s first race season. First it was Merriman winning the World Title in the 400cc 4
stroke class and a World Championship manufacturers award to boot, an Italian
Championship win and now the toughest race in the world, Novemberkasan.

Final Standings for the 79th round of Novemberkasan:
1.Anders Eriksson (Husqvarna) 6:52.58
2. Fredrik Georgsson (KTM) 7:03.33
3. Martin Lind (Husaberg) 7:09.47
4. Andreas Toresson (Husaberg) 7:10.24
5. Daniel Eld (Yamaha) 7:12.24
