Ok I'm assuming that the locations for the races will be posted soon, but any idea where the first race location will be? Also can anyone give me an idea how the classes are ranked? I'm assuming the A class is considered an expert level rider class and so forth. I raced 1 race about 4-5 years ago in the D class and was much faster than everyone in the class. I don't want to sign up in the wrong class again and look like a fool lol.

TBA, lol, usually means "towards Bastrop area", but who knows. You didn't state your age but you could go with a C class or B. Open C is usually a big class, but maybe you fit into one of the age classes.

I will most likely ride in one of the age classes. In 2017 I races the TORN series in the over 40 amateur class. As I said before, I don't want to sign up in the wrong class and make people mad or look stupid for being in a class that I shouldn't be in.

You could try the C class and see how you do and yeah if you beat everyone by a longshot you'd prob hear people cursing your name in the pits but you have the first several races to bump up your class and carry a portion of your points. Keep in mind if you want to race the "age" classes ex. 40C, those races are on Sunday and the regular classes Open, 250, etc., those classes are on Saturday.

I signed up for the series online(and the first race) but have not heard back concerning a race number. Is there a master list of race numbers that have been taken?

I assume I will be given a race number when I arrive Sunday morning which is fine. Any one know if that is correct?

No there's not really a good way to see if that number is actually taken or not......Here's what you need to do. Since you have already pre entered, when you get to the sign up trailer at the race your pre entry form will be in a binder on a table at the rear of the trailer under your last name. Find it and sign it and date it. Then take that form to the girls at the table in the trailer and let them know its your first race and you need a number and tell them the number you requested and if it's not available they will let you know. If I was you I'd think of 2 or 3 different numbers you like and you'll prob get one of them and if not they will give you one available. You can let them know if you want like a 2 or 3 digit number and they can tell you if its available or numbers available. So once you get your number you are set. So next time you pre enter you will just get your entry form out of the folder, sign and date it, and put it in the basket next to the folder and you are done. No waiting in line and no needing to talk the ladies again at sign up and you also save $10 for pre entering so its a no brainer.

Excellent, thank you! Since I may not have a number until after sign in, I assume it will be alright to make temporary plates with the correct color paper, a big sharpie pen and duct tape. [EDIT - I just came across a statement in FAQs that say a temporary plate / number will be provided for the day. Sounds great, but I will bring supplies just in case]

You're correct they will provide a temp. Hint, take it off immediately after the race, leaves a mess.
