Not sure why but when I post from my phone none of the text shows up on the post...
Anyway, said something to the effect that I ride with a guy who has an Alta. I have not ridden it yet, however know a few things about it. Charge time is about 2 hours. In the mud Saturday we did about 18 miles and after that it was ready for a charge. Power on the electric bikes is right now...no sweet spot in power curve, just twist the wrist and it is moving. Supposedly the bike is awesome in mud and ruts because there is no gyroscopic effect from the engine. Also good because you can lay the bike over in turns with ease while 'on the gas". Bike is more than competitive. He had a pro motocrosser on his and the guy was clearing a 75ft triple with ease.
Definitely weird to ride behind as there are no audible cues as to when he is on the gas. You can hear it wind up a little, but mainly have to watch the dirt coming off the rear tire to gauge where he is at on the throttle.
