This is the info I got from Tomás Pantin at BestAustin.com

RE: Closing Emma Long Motorcycle Park, Austin Tx

==============================

BCP Staff decided to close the Motorcycle Park 6 months each year.

This is Black or White. The Balcones Canyonlands Preserve Staff is trying to have a regulation approved by City and County government that would give them the absolute power to close Austin’s three largest parks with no reasons needed. Not the citizens or any local or federal government would be able to stop them.

The major parks threatened are The Barton Creek Greenbelt, Emma Long Metropolitan Park, and Bull Creek Park.

Until now, it’s been a long-term, little by little campaign to kick people out of the park. This time, the staff is targeting all the largest parks and their users in one single move. This creates an opportunity for all of us to weigh in and be unified.

Our response to this attempt has to be massive; we have to ask City and County government not approve this new rule. Please complete the three steps at our website and have all your friends and their friends come to the website.

Weigh in through >>> BestAustin.com

Thank you !
