We have this trail system laid out such that if we get some moisture Friday, Saturday, or Sunday that the trail will be perfect. So, no worries with any moisture.

There are lots of area's for beginner's to ride in a field or jeep roads. Just ask us at the gate at sign in if you have special needs and we will direct you to what you want to ride.

This is a family oriented dirt bike club and we want to make things safe for family's and beginners and the young one's.

DIRECTIONS

LAT: 29.984019 LONG: -97.134377

From Austin. Take HWY 71 East to Smithville. There are three (3) exits in Smithville. You want to that the third (3rd) exit and stay on the feeder road to 230 (also named Old Lake that curves south). Turn right on 230 (Old Lake) for one quarter (1/4) mile. Turn left onto Old Lake Road and drive three quarters (3/4) of a mile to #290 Old Lake Road where you will see a large, light brown, pipe gate on your right. It has a iron sign that says "McMahan Ranch". From the entrance you will drive to the second (2nd) gate where you will see our EZ UP and sign in

You must sign-in BEFORE you ride.

Hope to see everyone out to have some fun riding and to enjoy the McMahon Ranch.

Thanks,
-The McMahan Family & AMSA

So somebody asked me today after doing trail work how to spell perfect dirt?

Strange question?

But that is easy ...... the way you spell perfect dirt depends on the day and the conditions.

Tomorrow, Monday, September 5th, 2016, Labor Day, the way you spell perfect dirt is:

M c M a h a n

R a n c h

If you miss this one (or any event we put on) you will hate yourself for the rest of your LIFE !

I want to say a HUGE thanks to George and Wayne McMahan for allowing us to enjoy their ranch. What a great turn out! Great conditions for all to enjoy!

We had some MAJOR thunderstorms pass near the ranch to the East and West but none rained on our parade!

I also want to say BIG thanks to all those who helped lay out the trail and mark it. It takes many hours of hard work to lay out and mark a fast fun trail.

We are already planning the next ride day. We have some great, NEW and exciting things coming so stayed tuned!

Thanks,
-Larry

Great ride day. The trails were awesome, and my bike ran perfect. Glad I finally made it to an AMSA ride day. I plan to make to many more.
