I'm mainly looking for recommendations for a good overall front tire to use on Texas enduros and cross country races. How about the Dunlop Geomax AT81, so far that's what I'm leaning towards?

I run mx32 on front and at81rc on the back. I ride mostly at red river. at 81 front gets to many pinch flats.

IF your running the TSCEC circuit. Bibs! Also, I liked the S12 (XC compound as it lasts longer) for Mich for the softer sandy races (houston, Boondockers, etc...). Then I would switch for the harder packed raced intermediate terrain tire. (concho, hidden falls, Red Canyon, etc...) I liked a softer tire. I've only been able to get one race so I this season so I just used what I had on it. I have M603 and M604 on there and they seem to work pretty well at Barnwell and RRMT.

I usally bought two sets for a season. A soft set and a Intermediate/soft or just intermediate type tire. That way when I switched them out I could lube the bibs (makes them last much longer). I usually got more than one season from a set. Also, during the summer when there is not a lot of enduros I usually put on the most worn stuff for just general riding that I had in the garage.

I have been wanting to try the Dunlop AT81.

I've always found that running round ones work best grin

Bridgestone M59 for the front, just about anything on the rear is fine, as long as there is a bib in there! I bought a Dunlop AT81 and a Kenda Track Master II and ran the Dunlop on my son's bike and the kenda on mine. For the money the kenda is a pretty good value, as I have used that tire for second half of TSCEC plus one AR race. 7 A course events and it is trashed, the Dunlop has 5 C course events, and it is wearing a little better.

Both tires were on KTM 200's which admittedly are easier on tires than more powerful bikes.
