Hey guys, give me some scoop on this. Currently riding a KXF450, had a CRF 450R before that. Love the 4 stroke. Grew up on 2 stroke. Last one I had was a YZ 125 before the CRF 450. Have plenty of experience on both but torn on this decision.

Man I love my 250SX, I also have a 350SXF. I believe I'm faster on the 2T but it sure is a lot of fun riding and playing on the 350, I'd rather only have the 350 if I'm honest with myself. There are so many things you can do on the 4T easier than on the 2T, I think a 450 is overkill for the woods but again, I'm only 5'3" and 140# soaked, I probably couldn't even kick over a hot 450 motor..

Well...this can of worms hasn't been opened in a while.. Your going to get every from you should do it this way to go get this.... They sure don't mind spending your money..
The only thing I'll say is the 300 xc is nothing like the 125 you had. You really need to ride the 300 before buying any 4 stroke... It is the most adjustable bike made. If you like to ride hi rpm like your 125... It'll do that, if you want low end grunt like a 4 stroke it'll do that too... Something in between... It'll do that...but with that said there nothing wrong with a good 350... Really ride a 300 before buying...

I have a 2014 Ktm Factory Edition for sale. The bike only has 30 hours on it and is in great shape! I'm selling it because I'm currently going to college and the bike is just collecting dust. The asking price is 7,000 no trades will be accepted cash offers only. Email me at Colegriffin7200@yahoo.com and I would be glad to send you some more information and pictures.

This is a great question and I like that it's not just a which is better, 2 or 4 stroke. I think most people (not all) will be faster overall on the 350. The people who are truly faster on a 300 are usually the faster guys. As James said, things on a 4 stroke and in particular the 350's are just easier. The 350's are really a sweet spot for many people off road. You don't have to work them nearly as hard as a 250f and you can usually get away with being a gear high. You also don't have to respect them like a 450f. Even though I'm a fan of the 350's the 300's are tough to beat because they can be a nasty snarling monster or a relatively docile kitty cat.

I assume KTM 737 is Ryan (this is Scott). I now have a 350XCF-W to go with my 450XCF. I could bring both for you to try next time we get to ride together. I suspect you'll be surprised at the differences between the bikes. The 350XCF-w is noticeably more forgiving than your 350XCF and the 450XCF is noticeably more nasty.

The 350 makes over 50 hp stock. But needs to spin close to 12,000 rpm to make it.
The 300 makes the same 50 hp but way sooner around 7,000.
I agree with fender_bender, you have to ride a 300 2 stroke before you make the decision. The amount of torque that you get from the 300 will surprise you.

The main thing that I like about the 2 stroke is the maintenance cost. And it is better in the tight situations because of the lighter crank mass making it change direction quicker.

We have both in stock come check them out.
