We had the results posted Tuesday morning at 4am - the wait time is our number one issue that we are trying to resolve for this format.
That said, protests should be handled at the track, as they are independent of scoring issues/fixes. Protests involve track or race conditions, such as cutting the track or breaking the rules.
Scoring fixes, however, are something that have always been handled after race weekend - we update scores to reflect the results, and with any system, sometimes things happen that skew this. Especially with more laps, and having start/end sections, mistakes in scoring (aka missing laps) are more likely, so it takes more time to finalize.
This can be helped by making sure all of the riders have clearly marked plates and checked their transponders are working, as we have a manual backup for our races. Withput having bikes marked in a readable form, if the transponder is missed or not working, then it causes the backups to be less reliable for that rider.
At all of our events, medals can be given out at the next race or, at the end of the season, sent to the banquet or mailed to riders.
We are working to improve scoring and results turnaround each and every race, so we appreciate the feedback and will continuing to make this process better for our members - it is tough, but this is only the 2nd time we have worked with this style of scoring. We appreciate everyone's patience!
I have notes for a few riders/classes to be updated this evening (posted tomorrow), so keep a lookout for those.
Thank you
