We have had a ton of help with this loop. It turns out that a low area runs across one half of the property and we found with the recent rain that it cut off some trail when run the traditional way. We had enough people to reroute the loop and avoid the mud, and to add even more flowing trail in some very nice rolling terrain.

The entire race loop is wide enough for a side-by-side ATV/UTV to pass through without anything touching. No face slappers, no tight trees - no hand guards required. The hero sand conditions should persist through the race weekend. It'll be a lot of fun to ride this loop at speed!

Rafael, Andy Mack, Bob, Jess, Stephan, Jamie, Larry, and George put a lot of effort into the trail. I hope I spelled all those right and if I left anyone out I apologize. This was a team effort and everyone should be proud of what was accomplished.

I hope the South Texas guys have polished off the top two gears in the transmission. They will get more use than usual.

I'll borrow some words from Ronnie Montrose - it's gonna be like rock candy, baby - hot, sweet, and sticky!

Here is a link to the XCD rule book: http://www.tscec.org/s/TSCEC-XCD-2015-2016-rule-book.docx
It's accessible from the TSCEC FAQ page at: http://www.tscec.org/faq/

I didn't see anything in there about teams except the fees for a team (up to three riders). Can anyone else fill us in?

Can we pay with a card at the race? I know majority of the North Texas Series only take cash. I really need to know how much money to ask my wife to give me...

If you want to sign up with a credit card you need to sign up online. See first post above.

There is a $10 per rider land use fee that needs to be paid in cash. If you race more than one race the land use fee is still a one time $10 fee. In other words the land use fee is not per race.

Spectators are $5 per person. There is no spectator fee if for example a person races and brings their "Non-Racer" boy/girl friend or spouse or kids to watch them race.

Thanks,
-Larry

If you have a transponder through TORCS, can you use that for this race or do you have to purchase a new one?

If you have to purchase a new one, can both be on the helmet visor at the same time? I ask because I only have one helmet and one visor.

The scoring system transponder for TSCEC XCD is a different system than the system that TORCS uses.

The TORCS transponder should not affect the TSCEC XCD transponder since the system that TSCEC XCD uses will not recognize the TORCS transponder.

Hope that answers your questions?

Thanks,
-Larry

Rules only specify the # or riders and cost per team. Nothing more. Does anyone have anything to add?

From a post from a XCD racer .....

It is a tag team style race. Riders rotate each lap. Rider #1 the first lap, Rider #2 the second lap, etc.

You can ride one bike and switch off or each rider can have their own bike.

$10 per racer with a maximum of three racers per team.

Race duration is 1.5 hours.
