Good afternoon members!

We are excited for the first round of the 15th TORO racing season coming up this weekend - given the previous weather delays, we wanted to let our members know that we will be racing at the BSGP property still. The first round will be a Sprint Enduro format race, and any questions will be addressed at the event, with scheduling for the races to be provided at sign-up.

Be advised - the grouping of classes for the race will be adjusted to best suit the daylight hours of our winter season, and this information will be given at registration, as well as the rider's meeting. We encourage everyone to attend!

Please feel free to come to us with any concerns, as we know this is new. We want everyone to understand the style of racing before they take off for their first test!

The weather is shaping up well, and conditions are set for a beautiful weekend! We look forward to seeing everyone!

One final note - due to the scheduling, we have decided to count 4 events as our new season minimum for qualifying for the end of year awards. This decision was reached after addressing weather scheduling and other outside factors - we hope this helps members affected due to any scheduling conflicts.

Will this be woods and open fields like are shown on Full Gas Sprint Enduro or will this incorporate some Endurocross / man-made obstacles?

Our spin on the format will consist of everything that North TX racing has to offer, be it natural terrain or man-made obstacles. Our promoters adhere to a set of requirements, but they push the envelope as well. Ideally, being the first season with this style of racing, we will generally have a smoother transition than dedicated tests like they do over on the east coast.

I have road the track and to answer your question. Both test include woods and open fields plus some man made jumps. It will look nothing like the Kenda Sprint Enduro other than maybe the start and finish.

One test is fast and flowing but still single track in the woods. There are a couple jumps on the old MX track.

the other test is more tight trees with less field but has more MX and there is an option to take the Endurocross section

This video is the property but not the sprint enduro test but gives you and idea of what the terrain is like

So is there still a drop for year end awards since the season is only 6 races now?

From what I read somewhere before, there's two drops....which makes it, in actuality, a 4 race season.
I'm sure one of the Rucks will chime in and clarify/answer your question more better than I can.
Hope this helps.

Yes, there is still a drop in place. 1 drop for points, and up to 2 missed events to still finish the season (aka 4 of 6 instead of 5 of 7) and still qualify for awards.
