Let it rain! It will help with the dust.

George would like to remind everyone that there is no charge for riding and celebrating an epic birthday for a founding AMSA luminary. You can look for Larry or me if you decide to join the AMSA club. It's not required, though.

The trail is going to be a lot of fun and the temps are predicted to be lower than they have been lately. It should be a great weekend of riding and socializing.

I am also planning to come with my family. That includes three young kids all on 50s motorcycles will these small bikes have a hard time?

The kids on 50s have options.

The newest riders can ride jeep roads with your supervision. They are not marked but you can always turn back to get to camp. There are also lots of open pastures near parking to ride in. Jeep road riders should turn around when they reach trail markings. Trail crossings are not safe for inexperienced riders who are not aware of all the risks.

Safety note: DO NOT continue if the pink ribbons that are marking the trail are on your left - that is going the wrong way. The trail is one-way and nobody will be expecting oncoming traffic.

The intermediate riders can try the short section at the end of the trail loop that goes behind the barn, right by the parking area. It is is not difficult and would give a good taste of the trail conditions.

Accomplished riders can ride the whole loop. It would pose some challenge for a 50 but it has been done.

Looking at radar, it appears that the ranch may get some much needed wet stuff which should make the conditions perfect for the ride day. I think it's awesome how it seems to bring the rain when the club plans a ride day. I am going to try like heck to be there early if I can get away for a few hours Saturday morning.

TORCS just cancelled their race because of excessive rain. Are y'all still having your ride day?

Do you have to be a member to ride, fee for the day.
