Any real men out there not afraid of a little rain? I bought a bike to do this ride & was pumped bout riding this weekend but Mr Postponed did it to me AGAIN & now's gonna reschedule on a weekend I can't make it. I'm without my gps so hoping to find someone that was able to download the route. LMK

We're going to try it again. Saturday, September 29th is the date. Same place, same time. Let's hope Mother nature gives us a nice "sun-shiny" day this time. I know of at least four guys that rode the course last Saturday and all said they loved it so, come on out with your Adventure bikes and have a good time with your buddies.

The ride will start and finish at Schoebels Restaurant in Columbus, TX. There will be a rider’s meeting at 9AM in the Schoebels parking lot so come early and eat a fantastic breakfast at Schoebels before the meeting and the ride.

Regretfully, we are forced to postpone our ride again. Based on all the weather forecasts for this coming Saturday, there is an 80% to 90% chance of thunderstorms with lightning predicted for the area that our ride covers.

I'm not sure what the new date for the ride will be but I will post it approx. one week in advance. That way we'll be able to see the weekend forecast and be relatively assured that we'll be able to select a DRY Saturday.

Several of us will be out of town attending the National AMA Congress in Pickerington, OH on October 6th so that Saturday is out for us too. There are several other events going on for the next two or three Saturdays so the first likely open one looks like October 27th right now. We will decide on that one later.

As before, you are welcome to go ride the course anytime you want to. As long as you have the GPS track file you are good to go. It'll just be lots more fun to be able to ride it in a large group. Send me an email if you want the track and I will send it to you.

Stay tuned to this post and I will let you know the new date when we finally figure it out.

Due to an unexpected emergency in my immediate family, I am indefinitely suspending our "Unorganized" Adventure Ride. For any of you that still want to go enjoy the ride, you can still do so any time you wish. Please do! If so, please let me know what you think of the course. If you don't have the GPS track file, just send me a request at captjack530@aol.com and I will send the track file to you. I will have email access in the hospital so it shouldn't take me more than one day to get back to you.
Thank you everyone for your patience and understanding! It just doesn't seem like this Ride was meant to be this year.
