Yes and yes...

...there's going to be a lot of work cleaning/clearing trails and marking the course for Sunday's race.

I'll probably get out there late Friday around midnight so I can get a early start Saturday morning.

We'll have a better idea of the current situation after Lynn rides it Thursday.

Cheers

Jason, you will need to register in person at the event before 10am on the day of the event.

My 8yr old would run the short 10 mile course (right?) and what about my 14 yr old? would he run the short or long course? or does it matter?

Do I need to buy numbers for our bikes? My youngest son has numbers on his xr50...

Besides dirtbikes, helmets, goggles, and boots, do we need anything else?

Spark Arrestors.. are they required?

What am I forgetting??? Help a new guy out, to make sure I am on the right track...

Also, I am not a member of TRH... would it be cheaper to race if we joined at the event??

Tommie

classes - you are correct in that an 8yr old would run the short course. A 14 yr old would run the long course and would have the option of starting on the same row as you. You may want to selct a later row to avoid the 'fast' riders.

numbers - Our series harescrambles require that you have pre-printed numbers already on your bike. The available numbers are posted on TON and you can email me with your number requests. However, this is a restart enduro, so we will issue your row numbers at no additional charge which you can put over your existing numbers for the day. smile

costs - If you are planning on racing the series, it is much cheaper to become a member.

Hope this helps and see you at the event!

Just to re-iterate... The race is still a go, I will post up something by 6pm on Thursday so everyone will know.

Tommie's Questions:
Hydration pack is a definite plus. Check out Academy or even Walmart

I would definitely recommend gloves and make sure they fit good.

This is the perfect series to start racing.

We will supply numbers free of charge for this event.
(grouser please fix your post, to avoid confusion)

Ohh... and don't forget to bring a lunch or snack.

Thanks for the replies...

Everything I read about this event made it seem like a good place to get started... My main goal is for the kids to have a good time... And to get the excited about riding dirt bikes....

What time should I arrive? around 8-8:30 AM? (that is what I was thinking from everything I have read on here)

Thanks for the help,
Tommie

what about fuel stops, or refills?? i know my bike would never make that type of mileage without at least 1 refuel.. i'm interested in trying this out for sure.

James. Ride first test, ends at parking area, refuel, then you have plenty of time to start second test. No problemo.

Tommie, you will not find a better place in your area for your kids than this club, period. You will know exactly what I mean as soon as your there.
