Trail Work Weekend 10/11 March (alternate 14/15 April)
All "Working" Skull Creek members are required to attend one of these weekends & attend to your trail section. Please bring tools- machetes,loppers,chain-saws,brush-cutters,weed-eaters & four wheelers if you have them.
Your trail boss will show you the section for which you will be responsible for.Feel free to reroute around badly exposed roots & mudholes.
Pot luck barbecue in the pavilion on Saturday evening to give people chance to socialize so bring some meat or a side-dish.If anyone would like to be Pit Master that day let me know.
Other Projects that need tackling are:
1. Fix Pump House - change bottom plate & siding for hardiplank or tin. Make new door for it.
2. Erect large Notice Board in pavilion - 2x4s & 3/4"plywood,nail gun,expansion bolts
3. Clean & repaint diesel tank with antirust paint - ladders/scaffold,wirebrush,sprayer
4. Put up the new camp gates that were donated a year ago! Need post hole digger & a big drill bit/drill.
5. Fix the barb wire fence around camp- fencing pliers.
6. Weedeat camp & front gate.
7. Treat house for termites/ants.
8. Put up signage around property.
Please let me know if any of you have the expertise, tools & possibly material to donate for these projects.
Some people have been very generous with donations & their time in the last few years & thanks to them we all enjoy the improvements Skull Creek.

I owe Skull a small donation check. How do I get it to go to skull creek supplies (plywood, 2x4s, nails, paint etc) instead of the general TRH account? Are there separate funds just for Skull?

Next trip out there I will bring the weedeater, and also machette some of my trail.

Thanks TRH.

Weather is pretty nice out at SC this weekend...

...the dirt/trails great except a few wet spots. SC is crossable at several locations.

There are a lot of big branches and downed trees that need removed.

Come on out Sunday and give us a hand.

Cheers

Great weather this weekend!

Trail conditions were also great! Just enough mud and water in the creek crossings to make it fun!

There is a lot of work to be done before the next race and Gator Bait...most of it easy stuff like clearing trails of downed branches, a little shovel work fixing up ruts and wash-outs.

We have people out there almost every weekend working and playing. So if the scheduled workdays don't "work" for you...come on out any weekend, we'll put you on something for a few hours and sign-off on your work day.

Cheers

Aside from cleaning trail, so far only one person has volunteered to help with one of the other eight projects on the list.
I would really like to know who would like to head up the various projects, who has tools to loan us.For example:
Ladders,scaffold,saws,nail guns,hammer drill,post hole diggers etc.
