I'll try to answer your questions in order.

1. Skull Creek was still open to it's members as it always is. The race being cancelled has no bearing on people being "on the course." Not sure the motive behind this question. If you're worried about us seeing the course ahead of time, fear not, we are the people who made it and will be working it while you're racing it!

2. There is a very limited number of weekends to work with. If the Events coordinator only scheduled free weekends, we'd have maybe 3 races this year. You can't please everybody, no matter how hard you try. I can't speak for the events coordinator, but from what I've heard, the rider turnout is greater at TORCS events. If it was me, I'd overlap the series that have smaller turnouts as well. As for Gatorbait, did you just argue with yourself? If you have a problem with that event date, you'll have to take it up with TSCEC or Lynn Bailey. I'm sure he'll take your complaints under advisement.

3. The northwest section holds water more than any other section in the property. The East and south section of the property (which is where this race was to be run) is historically the dryest.

Howdy!

1. I was trying to have a laugh with the people who went out there (after it was cancelled due to rain and mud) and got stuck in the mud. Seems like an inevitable ending.

2. I thought recent events at skull had bigger turnouts than the ones at the SHNF. I didnt know this was due to TORCS riders though. I was just curious. I am bummed about the gator bait conflicting with the TXORR Brunes Mill event. I bet the TRH event at Brunes Mill draws a big crowd from TORCS too.

3. Oh, didnt know that. I will just shut up now.. LOL

Well you would have had quite a laugh if you'd been out there. We managed to get every fourwheeler stuck (3 of them), a Razor and almost a dirt bike stuck as well! That mud bog would have been awesome for the race!

Well, I don't think there's much of a difference in rider attendance between the Forest and Skull Creek for the TRHFE series, and I don't think it has anything to do with TORCS. But you asked why it was okay to overlap an Xtreme race, but not a TORCS race. And the answer is that its not necessarily okay, but its the best option at the time. The powers that be in TRH need to schedule the races to maximize rider attendance.

I thought the TSCEC dates were set well before the end of 2011,at a TSCEC planning meeting, but I'm too lazy/tired to research that right now.

The Gator Bait Enduro was scheduled back in Sept 2011. Both TORCS and Otis were contacted by TRH leadership to deconflict the Gator Bait Enduro on the weekend of April 21-22. TORCS responded and worked with us. The problem remains the same...too many events and not enough weekends. Heck of a problem to have! With that thought, TRH always does its best to work with other event series. We actually take all of that into consideration.

Remember this is supposed to be fun...even for those that coordinate and put on these fun events. See you at the first Family event and the Gator Bait Enduro. It's a awesome year to own a dirt bike in south Texas. Go out and ride.

I didnt mean to get anyones tighty whities in a knot! Thats cool that TRH had the date/event set first. I should have worded my post(s) better (as usual).

I would love to go mud bogging at Skull on a 4x4 quad or someone elses bike... but wont catch me out there on my new-used 300 until it dries out a little. The last mud event I did was at Cowboy Badlands and a couple miles of 10-20 inch deep mud ruined a lot of parts quickly. I burned through 2 toothbrushes cleaning the steed after that round of practice.
