Well, in my experience when I've asked a MXer to go woods riding, their response is something along the lines of 'I don't want to scratch my plastic or get the bike muddy...'! Yes the club is pretty much dissolved, but I think we are keeping this forum open for the floaters that still try to keep in touch. I am in the process of getting back to riding after a 4+ year recess, but I would love to get the club going again some day.

Well let them stay on the track only i say ! I love eat all dirt where-ever, I would like to see the club get back together i might ever go to some meetings. I am still searching for someone that knows something about the pleasure island revisted race, Mike Legaza sent me return mail and had went an raced but knew nothing about who got it all together, I was sent to Lawrence Lucia, but i do not know him, I do know Dave Smith in lumberton, perhaps i will call him today. For sure Phil Bartlett might know something also.

If people do not attend meetings then there is no club. If people do not attend meetings and TAKE THEIR TURN to act as an officer, then there is no club. Some accept responsibility, some shirk responsibility. Take your choice.

More than enough interest. Just no place to ride. The bogus closing of the Angelina sealed the deal. Most are unwilling to drive the extra 20 to 30 minutes to Cravens, Forest Hill or SHNF.

Speaking of Angelina: whats the latest with that? Didn't they get some money approved for the project to open a riding area near Toledo? Wasn't there a court mandate saying they needed to make this happen?

Oh, and kinda harsh on us MX'ers. I'm not a big fan of how limited the passing space is in the woods. You've got to basically bump someone out of the way to get around. Also, the starts really favor a rekluse clutch. I don't own one and starting last then eating lots of dust while moving forward kinda blows.

Always an excuse. Sometimes multiple. You have made our point.
