I wanted to start a topic on the points structure we currently use. It seems to me and some others I've talked to that we need to look at a way to spread out the top 3 finishers in a race. Right now 1st gets 20 points, 2nd gets 19, 3rd gets 18. I rode the circuit and got 1st place points in each race on the high plains. I rode Cross timbers and ran out of gas short of the finish. DNF but was the only TSCEC rider in my class. Only got 15 points for that. The guy I competed with all season raced at RR 1 and I did not go because of an injury, He got 19 points there. That was the only place he was able to get ahead of me. In short I got beat at the end of year by 1 point by the guy who I beat at every race. Do we need a bigger points spread for the top positions? I vote yes. I think the National circuit has such a set up on points. Lets see what everyone else thinks. Im ready for next year to get here. Brad

You will have to put in for a rule change at the August TSCEC planning meeting.

I have been on both ends of this situation and changing the rules won't make it better. It just makes it different.
If you hadn't run out of gas you would have won. So instead of changeing the points system, maybe we should get a bigger tank.
