yeah I greatly miss Xcreek. I think about how much I miss it at least once a week. I had not been out regularly for quite some time with work. I always knew though if I could get time off I could ride. Now I wonder if it is time to sell the bikes. :-(

Dennis nor Shawn ever owned lakeside. Shawn leased the property and Dennis bought the equiptment and the right to run mx there for two years. Matt and I have developed a small RV park at the old lakeside facility called lakeside camping and rv. I think Dennis is looking for reddish dirt/sand to bring to Del Valle to help improve our riding surface which is all hauled in otherwise it would be just like the parking lot dirt...we all know what happens when that stuff gets wet...yuk!

Anyone run in the Tough Mudder this weekend? I know people that were scheduled to run at 10:30 and one at 11:30.

Dont think shawn had anything to do with the Tough Mudder. I did some work out there for the race and I dont believe he owns the land. The owner I meet was not Shawn. They quit letting people in the gate around nine on sunday because the rain made the parking undrivable unless you had four wheel drive. If you have ever got caught out there when it rained you will understand. I think they had around 9000 people pre-registered. They spend a lot of money getting ready for the race but I bet they make a killing. I was told they were expecting around 12000 people to run it.

WTF! Expecting 12,000 people!? At a LOW average of $100 per entry thats 1.2 million! Not to include spectators are $20-40 a person. Shoulda opened a mud running track instead of mx. A few of those races and that place is bought and paid for! Just run a few of them a year out there and let us ride the rest of the year free! :p
