After spending a few days here at Soggy Bottom I have decided I can not put on a race here with a clear conscience. Due to the 90 year record drought even “Soggy Bottom” is to dry and dusty to safely put on a race at this time. I’ve decided to move to a location that has mainly hard pack dirt. Round 5 will now be at Rusty’s Walnut Creek. The web site and flyer have been updated. If you have already pre entered on line for Round 5 you do not need to pre enter again.

Gil, if rusty has a water source, pond or such, I may be able to get a water truck to water the start and upper area

Thanks Gil,
Rusty's is an awesome venue, and with gas prices being what they are I wasn't looking forward to the drive to Bryan.

I think its the right move. It is completely dry here in Bryan and like he said, it's not "Soggy" right now. Good Decision Gil, even if it is only 10 minutes from my house.

Rusty's is an awesome venue, and with gas prices being what they are, I was looking forward to the short drive to Bryan. On top of that, I just found out my wife needs our house for her friends on Saturday, and I'm not invited. I guess I'm going to have to race both days this weekend. Hmmmmfff!!!!!!!! Or did I mean Yeeeehaaawww! I haven't used my tent in years, now might be the time.

What is the best way to turn into Rusty's with a long trailer left or right? I remember that the gate opening is kinda tight.

I personnally think turning left is easier. I always hang far to the right and actually go into the opposite entrance (dance hall side) and then able to swing straight into the opening.
