Aren't some decisions board decisions only? I wouldn't expect that I could vote on my own race fees or the guests race fees. That would be nice, but if that happened during a general meeting, it would seem to me that it was wrong to start with.(or an accident) The board meeting is a business meeting, and the general meeting is a general meeting. I am a regular dues paying TRH/SC member, and I was wondering where the moderators were 15 minutes after the first post. I would have knocked that negative stuff back into cyberspace and given airwolf a phone call to get this straightened out. It is very embarrassing as a TRH member to see all this BS aired publicly. I think this whole 2 PAGES, NOT 4??? should be deleted, and any future TRH bashing posts, from within or not, should be smashed immediately, and straightened out off line. This destructive mess has probably done more to hurt the club as a whole than giving free racing to guests would have helped it!

Well I've deleted my post due to the miscommunication and the tone. I apologize for any harm this may have caused. I admit I flew off the handle and acted rashly and irresponsibly. At the same token, I do believe that members should have a say in the direction of the club. I think my opinions should be heard given that I devote my time and effort to trying to improve it. This wasn't meant to be a TRH bashing session, but I'm having a difficult time pinning down where this club is heading. Why is that? Maybe becuase I simply feel uninformed. Just like all the dues paying members, I'd like to think we have a stake in this organization. As a regular stockholder, are you not informed on the progress/situation of the companies you hold stock in? You should be, at least to a certain degree. It would be nice to know what goes on in the board meetings and how it will affect me. Greg, aren't you curious as to where your 235.00 dollars is going? Would you not speak up if you felt it was being squandered. People join TRH for different reasons, and a large majority join to be members of Skull Creek. I would think those members would like to see that their interests are being secured. Again I apologize for any harm this whole mess may have caused but silencing the crowd is just not the answer.

the moderators have been here on and off...this isn't our full time jobs and like Toby we all need need our pay doubled.

Greg, until the club come up with specific rules and conduct for the board or someone with this site tells me differently i'll limit it to PG13 and no personal attacks.

beg to differ on it's destructiveness, bashing, etc..

i prefer critical thinking, honest debate and thinking outside the box VS business as usual.

there are a lot of new(and older) members here who have stepped up, done a ton of work well beyond the work days and donated equipment and monies...quashing their enthusiasm, voices and opinions IMO would be truely damaging.

cheers

15 bucks to race? Sounds too cheap, no wonder the events dont pay for themselves! The other series charge about $50. Even if TRH charged $30 or $35, it would still look like a huge bargain.

A temporary membership and race fee that costs more than a regular membership and race fee....Ummmm I agree, that just doesnt make any sense.

If the TRH members and BOD cant understand their own race flyer, why would we expect a non-member too???

The flyer has only ONE purpose, to communicate information. And its not doing its job.

Nate, but don't you think lowering the price might encourage more people to attend?

I do not recall ever having a Gen Meeting vote concerning temp membership, only a vote to increase in regular membership & SK membership. The Board made the increase for the Race Series,as Lee stated,in order to encourage folks to become TRH members. It is basically a $10 increase to become a regular member -vs-a temp member to race the event. There has never been a $15 guest fee for non-SK members to race,so I do not know where that rumour got started.

Jeff,

Northwest Gamble had a $15 race fee plus a $10 temp member fee...or at least that's what the flier reads...

...i believe some wanted the race fee higher but were over-ruled.

Cheers

i know u weren't addressing me Brian BUT...

...IF marketed well at $35-$40 for non-members w/ free riding on Saturday and primitive camping included...sounds like a hell of a deal based on the other series race fliers i've seen.

Goodnight Johnboy.

$15 was for non-TRH members.Regular TRH membership & Skull Creek members did not pay any extra fee.
