Does anyone run an oversize front brake? Opinions 270mm or 280? I was thinking of putting one on my 01 CR250.

larger rotors are easyer to damage! just be sure the brk pads are good! you can even get them with a softer compound, also you can have the rotor surfaced, thode will help a great deal!

I have a few bikes that had 280mm they stopped great, but I bent them up all the time. Just too large. For the woods. Braking make nice 260mm setups for your bike, more than enough

260 Sounds good the factory rotor is 240. I have not seen a 260mm for a cr250, I have seen 260mm for the crf150. I have found a good deal on a 270mm from QTM a closeout.

I put a Braking 260mm on my '02 cr250 and love it. Been through a season and a half with it so far and it's held up well.

Braki g has discountinued the 260mm setups I think. Now their big deal is the 270 batfly. The qtm deal is nice, they are 270. Motomaster makes a 260mm for your bike still. Any kit 95-03 will fit your bike. The caliper bracket changed in 04, but rotor is same 95-11.
