Dear Slammin Berms: Running a USFS legal muffler in the woods (decibels and spark arrestor) is a small price to pay to access federal property. Extract your cranium from your backside and follow the rules. We don't have tons of riding options, so lets take care of the ones we do have. Even the AMA mx tracks are dropping the dB levels each year to protect land access.

And if you see someone on the multi-use trails on horseback, kill your engine asap and follow their request (either ride by slow or let them pass you before restarting your bike/quad).

It is in Altair which is on Hwy 90 just south of Columbus. The membership is full at the time, but you can go to http://www.trh-cycle.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=60&Itemid=65 and get the application, then get on the waiting list for next year. If you become a TRH member then you are allowed to ride at the races and I believe the FUN days that they put on.

We did this for the last race, and may continue it, but we are not yet sure. The board needs to discuss this further.

i did not know this...just assumed that Skull Creek races were to be open to outside riders.

once there's agreement on the next event, we need to know the decision before potentially inviting non-member riders.

i'm pretty sure Eric was under the same impression also.

TIA

My understanding is that the TRH races are open to everyone - if you want to race though, you must purchase a TRH membership and that's good for the whole race series, so it's a one-shot purchase for the year. The temporary race memberships must be new (sounds like a good idea though).

Yeah, it's new. Just started doing it last race, I think it's a great option and a fantastic idea, and I hope they continue it. Atleast for my race. Although it is well worth the $40 to join TRH, not everyone wants to Join. I actually have it on my race flyer already $10.00 temp. membership.

I think that is to offset the insurance for non members to ride.
