WOW!!! We have had a HUGE day with Heidi!!! First of all at therapy this morning Heidi WALKED!!!!!!
Yes, you read that right! Down the parallel bars, (with quite a bit of assistance of course) but she aced that, so then they put her in a walker....and what do ya know.....she walked through the exercise room and half way down the hall wit...h a walker!!!!! WOOOHOOO!!!! THEN, we get the news that she was accepted at the Rehab Institute and we moved today. Let me just say that this place is SAAAWWWEEEEEEET!!! First off it's just a 1st class place all the way!!! We got the tour and I'm just SO impressed! We come back from the tour and they have her treach capped! That means that they literally placed a cap on it and she was breating out her mouth and nose. It's not capped for good. It's just another one of those "steps" towards getting it out for good! And when they cap it, she can talk out of her mouth like normal!!!! Now, she does not sound quite as normal as usual, it's a little gurggly, but she can talk!! She will start her intense therapy tomorrow AND she will get a REAL shower tomorrow too!! No more sponge baths!!! YEAH!!!! I can't wait for tomrrrow to get here to see how she does in therapy here at the rehab center. Visisting hours here are from 8 am to 9 pm. They are pretty strickt on them and there's no getting around therapy, of which she has physical, ocupational and speach therapy! So again, I'm going to ask everyone to please go through me before you just "pop in" and see her. There are still times when she is just too tired etc that she does not want visitors either. She is still adjusting....so please give her a little time and space. We can not say THANK YOU enough to everyone for all the prayers etc.!!! If anyone needs it, the address here is:

never met Heidi, but, heard about this on txmotocross.com. Been praying for her, and SO thankful to hear of her great progress!!
