Agreed, I'd rather run headlong into a slapper before having to see that! Karma, I hope you're not listening!

Since I've been dissed about my trimming skills from the trials bike. I will donate the keg beer for the finish we will need a dedicated one just for the Age guys. Have you seen the bellys on the fast guys?

I guess that gets me out of some other job.

Cole has some NASTY pictures of the wound!. Jersey is probably ruined, even by enduro standards. Not enough Tide to Go out there on the trail. Arm looked like it was "pumping".

There is a trimming problem at every enduro I have ever ridden. We try to tell everyone in our club but I still see it. When cutting a "slapper" often times it is cut from a bike or the dreaded 4 wheeler and is cut away from the face creating a "Stabber or finger biter". Slappers are to be left alone or cut to the trunk of the tree which requires getting off your ride. I don't like slappers but I don't like lazy slapper cutters even more. Chad had one go clean thru like an arrow at Fluvanna and I had a hole twice as big as Cole's on my forearm 20 years ago at this place. ALL CUTTING NEEDS TO BE AT TRUNK OR DO NOT CUT. Riding in the middle of the trail and using a bob and weave body technique greatly reduces the risk of being bitten by a STABBER,FINGER BITER or SLAPPER.

Just my two cents worth
Your soon to be retired Trail Natzi

The more you trim, the closer to the trunk the trail gets. I usually park and walk when I am trimming trail. And like TUFERNEL said I try to trim it back to the trunk but it doesn't seem like I can ever get them all.
